Jul. 13th, 2007 01:48 amI found several wonderful old roleplaying books today: a hardback of the Unknown Armies core book, and a copy of Castle Falkenstein, at my very favourite used books store, and a copy of Earthdawn upstairs, together with my Munchkin's Handbook.
Also I got the 3rd edition "Rogues' Handbook", or something that claims to be that. Its title though is "Song and Silence", for bards (who sing) and rogues (who account for the silence). It looks kind of thin.
I also looked inside the Slayers d20 thing, which is madness but I like the attempt at dragon slave. Andy will be happy to know that they write it just like that. pnuk!
[Edit: The general attitude of UA shows up vividly in this article from, I think, the Philadelphia Inquirer: rar. That is very much how the characters are (and the father is a villain) and that is how they show up in newspapers.]
